At Sunflower Lodge we offer fully inclusive care to all children. Throughout their time with us, your child will have a key person who will be responsible for observing and assessing their learning which enables us to identify areas where the children may need some additional support. We work with families, schools, Speech and Language therapists, Educational Psychologists and the Local Authority to endure that the children are able to thrive in our care, all the time thinking about their next step into school.

We have a team of practitioners led by Lisa that specialise in Special Educational Needs and hold relevant training in this area and Speech and Language. The team will work closely with the Key Person and family to ensure the child has everything they need and that all other relevant professionals involved with the child and their family are on hand.

We are fully accessible for children in wheelchairs, with a disabled toilet and easy access into the garden. The open plan space allows for all children to be together regardless of any needs they have.

Different funding may be available to support children with any additional needs to attend nursery and this funding can be used to provide additional staff, specific provision or equipment.
